Church Report (2019)

At the beginning of 2019, the Church of God Inner Man Gospel, Inc.’s theme was “Persistent Faith & Worship” and the church's highest priority was to be persistent in sharing the gospel of Jesus and bringing more unbelievers into a relationship with Jesus Christ. Therefore, everyone was challenged to work toward advancing their ministerial goals. For example, the ministerial staff assumed more strategic opportunities and responsibilities to achieve engaged discipleship with other pastors, leaders, and the community. They found resourceful and innovative ways to strengthen, serve, support, and inspire them.

The Great Commission is the engine that drives the Church of God Inner Man Gospel, Inc. When God’s people commit themselves to hearing and obeying Christ’s command to “go and make disciples of all nations”, His church is aligned with the heart of God. This desire to bless and reach our community resulted in two special outreach opportunities: Ladies Night Out and the Women’s MEET, which convened in November. We rejoiced in the Lord to see the Gospel spread; people delivered and set free, lives changed, and needs addressed and met. These accomplishments confirmed God’s presence among us and His ability to work through our efforts.

In addition, the Church of God Inner Man Gospel, Inc., also continued its work to identify and support strong leaders who support the full diversity of the five-fold ministry, with skills and experience that are effective for leadership, to minister on its social media outlets weekly. Chaplain Ronota Henderson, an anointed teacher of God, was added to the schedule and now serves faithfully as a Conference Call Host on R.E.E.L. Talk’s Conference Call.

Worship services are both an entry point for people coming into the life of the church as well as an outgrowth of God moving in all other areas of the church. God has brought much life and growth into the worship services in 2019. We saw a significant increase of people engaged in Sunday’s worship on FaceBook, R.E.E.L. Talk’s Conference Call, and 1 Hour Corporate Prayer Conference Call. Our greatest worship service accomplishments were maintaining our status as a 100% tithe paying church, supporting our community, and missions.

As God moves in our hearts, He begins to change us to be even more outwardly focused and we can see the evidence of God’s hand and blessing in our church. This leads to more passion and gratefulness in our hearts as we gather together to worship our amazing God looking forward to a new decade of possibilities!

But we are not finished, yet. There is more to be done! There is more growing to do! And God’s promise carries us forward, “Focusing on Purpose Driven Vision” in 2020.
